Bomb scare at Kolkata Airport, 194 passengers of Mumbai bound Indigo evacuated

A bomb scare disrupted an IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Mumbai on May 13, 2025. The flight, numbered 6E5227, was scheduled to depart from Kolkata Airport at 3:30 PM when a bomb threat was reported. In response, airport authorities and security agencies took immediate action, halting the flight before takeoff. The bomb threat prompted the arrival of a bomb disposal squad at the airport.

All passengers aboard the flight were promptly evacuated as a safety precaution. Security personnel conducted a thorough search of the aircraft, but no explosives were found during the inspection.
